Applications Support Analyst

The Applications Support Analyst role involves a variety of Microsoft technologies and working in close cooperation with a diverse client base primarlity in Belfast and London but also covering locations in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America

The WINTEL Technology Application Support team is based in the Centre of Excellence in Belfast, reporting to the Applications Dev Senior Manager.

The team is responsible for developing and supporting Microsoft applications written in ASP, .Net, SQL Server and Access

Knowledge/Experience:

Proven proficiency in dealing with complex technical issues in an Applications Support (Not Infrastructure or Desktop) arena
Experience of analysing and debugging code
Experience of analysing and resolving database issues
Experience of dealing with business and technology users of the application in a support capacity (highly beneficial)
Qualifications

Skills:

Databases / SQL
MS SQL Server (2000 or above)
Experience with MS technologies – VBA, C#, .Net, ASP, SQL Server, Access, Excel (exp with more than one required)
Knowledge of Unix platform (beneficial)
Sybase knowledge or experience (beneficial)
VB6 (beneficial)
Windows 2000/2003 Server (beneficial)
