PL/SQL Developer

My client, based in Cork City, now has an urgent requirement for a talented PL/SQL developer with strong Data warehousing skills.

The position involves developing SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedures, database table design & optimization and report design/generation.

The role may eventually grow to include development of a data warehouse optimized for historical report generation and customer defined reports.

This development position will be central to the company’s product development effort, with a possibility for growth in future.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·Knowledge and application of database design, report queries, PL/SQL and other relevant technologies, complying with standards where applicable

·High and low level design of software as overall solutions

·Definition of and adherence to development schedule

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

·Strong experience of Oracle 10/11 database development in PL/SQL .

·Oracle Data warehouse Builder

·Strong experience with Linux or Unix operating systems (e.g. RedHat/Ubuntu)

·Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Jasper Server, Business Objects)

·Strong communications skills and demonstrable technical leadership

Desirable

·Experience in Java & JDBC development

·Experience with Operations & Maintenance systems

·Experience of working in a team environment developing according to RUP or to SEI CMM levels

·Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional qualification
