We are seeking a strong Infrastructure Engineer to support our hosted and internal infrastructure. Based in our Dublin headquarters and reporting to the Hosted Services Manager, the successful candidate will be a critical member of our busy support team, whose primary responsibility is the delivery of consistently high levels of service to our clients.

Your role:
• Work as part of a busy team to support our innovative on-demand solutions.
• Monitor and maintain SoftCo infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime on all systems.
• Troubleshoot all infrastructure issues in a timely fashion and communicate root causes.
• Assume ownership of all aspects of service and customer satisfaction for on-demand users.
• Support the procurement of licenses, hardware and software within the standard Requisition process.
• Upgrade existing infrastructure in line with new requirements and new technologies.
• Support and test new hosted systems (occasionally during out of office hours and weekends).
• Create and update infrastructure related support documentation.
• Act as point of contact for internal and external infrastructure related queries.
• Report regularly on project progress to key team members.

Your profile:
• A degree in computer science from a recognised University or Technical College.
• In depth experience in deploying and maintaining Windows based infrastructures.
• Knowledgeable in server hardware management with advanced experience in Hyper-V, SAN and clustered environments, VMware (would be an advantage not essential).
• Experience with firewalls, proxy servers and email servers, preferably Microsoft and Cisco.
• Experience and thorough understanding of systems architecture and server solutions.
• Previous experience as a senior network administrator would be an advantage.
• General knowledge of standard all software and hardware technologies within the hosted environment would also be of benefit.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Solid technical understanding with a strong interest in IT.
• An eye for detail and a process-oriented approach to all tasks.
• Fluency in written and verbal English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
