Java Programmer – 6 – 9 Month Contract Urgent Requirement

The Company

Our client is a global organization with a large centre based in Belfast. They currently are in the market for a number of IT Developers on contract. This would be a challenging and exciting opportunity to join a new team in Belfast working within one of the most technically challenging Java environments currently on the marketplace.

The Role

A senior contractor is required to work in the Swapswire development team in Belfast. The person should be experienced in IT and development with a good understanding of the software lifecycle. They must be able to work well with other groups including users in different countries and be able to work and meet aggressive timelines

The Person

•Essential: Solid OO programming (Java)
•Solid UNIX experience
•Relational database experience ( Sybase Preferably)
•Desirable: J2EE, MarketView, Finance Background

· Good team working skills and ability to work in a virtual team environment.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Self-motivated and with determination to achieve goals.
