Solution / Business Architect
The Solution Architect role is a Dublin based role within the FINEOS Professional Services department and is part of the FINEOS Solution Architecture Practice. As a member of the Solution Architecture practice team you will lead and support the definition of client implementation solutions. You will be required to develop your product and architecture skills to become an expert in the FINEOS product and its use in creating solutions for our clients.
Core Responsibilities
•Direct involvement on projects during the pre-sales, mobilisation & planning, requirements and design phases of projects detailing and directing project solution activities to achieve project goals.
•Facilitate solution implementation handovers from the pre-sales phase during project initiation.
•Defining and designing with clients, solution roadmaps that are aligned closely with the FINEOS Insurance Platform and strategic product direction.
•Working closely with FINEOS Product Management and FINEOS Product Architecture to promote project solution requirements and designs, outlining areas for product development and providing input to the FINEOS Insurance Platform roadmap.
•Member of and promotion of the Solution Architecture practice ensuring that all aspects of the FINEOS solutions you are involved with are consistent with FINEOS standards.
•Ensure FINEOS implementations and project design decisions are well defined and communicated.
•Facilitate and participate in project solution reviews.
•Solution and estimation support to sales and pre-sales during implementation studies and bid proposals.

•Must be willing to travel regularly visiting and consulting with project teams on customer sites.
•An excellent understanding and ability to separate technical and business needs and an ability to speak both technical and business language.
•Will have strong consulting and customer engagement skills communicating both with business and technical audiences.
•Demonstrable experience communicating at senior levels within client organisations.
•Strong influencing and solution leadership skills.
•Experience of providing solution management, supervision and mentorship is essential.
•Excellent communicator, process driven and proven leader with excellent influencing skills.
•Will be self motivated and will have a proven ability to self-learn through on the job training.
Required Experience
•At least 10+ Years experience in designing and developing software systems and software implementations.
•Will have spent the last 5+ years in an architect/senior systems analyst position working with large scale enterprise systems.
•Will have experience of the full software lifecycle and will have worked on a number of full software lifecycle projects.
•Practical hands on experience creating and developing design phase plans
•Experience of managing and explaining application and system roadmaps to business executive stakeholders
•Excellent Business Process Design, Business Requirements Design and requirements analysis
•Ability to transform business case and executive stakeholder requirements into a functional application platform design aligned with a corresponding IT roadmap.
•Extensive experience in providing clear guidance and advice in design decision making to senior and executive stakeholders.
