PRODUCT MANAGEMENT BUSINESS ANALYST (PMBA)
FINEOS wishes to appoint a Business Analyst to work with our Product Management Business Analysis team. PMBA’s have responsibility for the generation and ownership of business content, defining and creating line of business (LOB) solutions, configuration architecture, thought leadership and the generation of ideas for the "configuration toolset" roadmap.
PMBA’s work closely with the Product Managers and SME’s to translate requirements into solutions and are supported by the Product Management Development team in the delivery of these solutions.
The PMBA has strong communication skills and a focus on the big picture and works under the guidance of the PMBA Team Lead.
Key responsibilities include:
· Define and create demonstration solutions.
Responsibilities include feature ownership for “go to market” solutions which entails participation in solutions workshops, planning, prioritisation and estimation, working with the PM Development team to define specifications for newly identified features, weekly updates and solution demonstrations
· Ownership of Business Content library of artefacts.
Responsibilities include liaising with other teams (PRD, Professional Services and Sales Consultancy) in the assembly of Business Content as well as direct creation and configuration of the Business Content.
· Thought leadership for the FINEOS Client community.
Sharing of product knowledge and best practice/ ideas with the FINEOS Client community to increase awareness of product features and frameworks that can be configured to deliver rapid value.
· Ownership of the Configuration Toolset roadmap.
Propose improvements to Product features (primarily in the area of Configuration/Tooling but also considering other Product Management Features Roadmap components).
· Support to Bids/ Projects.
Professional Experience:
•Strong business/ technical background in enterprise software (J2EE and/or enterprise web application software environment required). •Background in a related area such as Product Management, Business solutions/ design, Business Consultancy, or web based configuration roles. •Exposure to working within financial services, in particular the insurance industry an advantage. •Proven solution design experience. •Strong documentation skills.
•Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence a business and technical audience. •Working knowledge of SQL/ database management, XML, JSP’s, HTML desirable. •Familiarity with Tomcat, Ant, SubVersion, Eclipse, IDE advantageous. •Solution orientation mindset and an ability to embrace the big picture. •Collaborative team player.
