Our client is a leading pan-European organisation that offers innovative solutions for the automatic identification of goods and people. As an award winning company, they’re always on the lookout for talented individuals who are innovative, motivated and passionate. An opportunity has now arisen for a Project Manager to join their team.

As a Project Manager your key focus will be on delivering software and hardware projects, in line with the customer requirements, whilst aligning the customer expectations with the company goals. You will be responsible for project budget and financial controls.

You will be tasked with maintaining overall responsibility for the implementation and management of assigned projects, which will include software, hardware, consultancy, infrastructure and financial elements.

This will involve managing all stages of the software lifecycle, and co-ordinating business analysts, developers, QA, professional services and customers to ensure all are successfully participating in projects being managed. You will also be tasked with risk analysis management and reporting the status of projects.

Your other duties will include:

– Providing warehouse and logistics business process consultancy
– Providing regular information and updates regarding assigned projects to the business
– Managing third party contractors, including cabling, installation, commissioning and site surveys
– Providing pre-sales support, by helping sales to define the requirements of a solution

To be considered for this position, you must have:

– Extensive experience of managing warehousing, logistics and supply chain software projects
– Experience of managing integration projects
– Experience of working for a software vendor delivering bespoke software projects on client sites
– A good level of commercial and financial understanding
– Experience of working with barcoding hardware such as Motorola, Intermec, LXE, Zebra or Printronix

Additionally, as a Project Manager you must have excellent communication, presentation and customer facing skills. Good time management and leadership skills are also key. A PRINCE2 qualification or similar would also be beneficial, as would experience of voice picking technologies.
