Avnet Client Solutions are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst for a 6 month contract. The position is for an immediate start and is based approx 70 miles from Dublin.
The position offers technical responsibility for supporting key applications that support critical business processes. The candidate would be reporting directly to the IT Spplication Support Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responding to Application support calls logged via the QI call management system within target SLAs.
• Provide support for the monitoring of key business applications.
• Applying configuration changes to key applications (within the QI Change Management process)
• Application of security updates to applications
• Application testing
• Delivery of project based work to agreed target dates.
• Liaise and manage third party suppliers
• Provide on-call support
Key Requirements:
• Have strong Windows Operating System, application & Printer support skills
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts
• Awareness of application design principles and coding standards
• JAVA, J2EE, HTML
• 2+ years in a similiar role
• Hold a relevant IT Qualification and experience in a similar role.
