Telecoms Solution Engineer GALWAY
New Position with NEW GALWAY TELECOMS COMPANY
80% of the time of this position will be hands-on integration/configuration of systems within a lab environment. In the remaining time, the engineer writes Application Notes, to be used by installers and customers, which detail how the solution was configured in the lab environment.
Practical hands-on experience with enterprise voice and data products. The candidate should have a solid foundation in IP telephony and data networking, including IP PBX’s, CTI, IP Switching & Routing, ISDN, and VoIP (H.323/SIP).
• Must have hands-on experience configuring Avaya products
• In depth knowledge of VoIP and TDM protocols, including SIP, H.323, H.248, ISDN.
• Data networking expertise, with the ability to configure switches, routers, firewalls, vpn appliances, and wireless access points.
• Experience configuring the following Linux services on CentOS/Redhat: BIND, FTP, OpenSSL, NFS and PAM.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications in English.
• Bachelors degree, or experience equivalent with minimum of 5 years (8 desired) with solid experience using debug tool, protocol analysis test tools, etc..
