IT Project Manager
Role description:
The Project Manager will be part of the ITTE team working on numerous Projects of an IT nature.
The primary responsibilities of the role are:
• Formulate plans and work package structures for assigned sub-projects
• Track/Review progress against plan and where appropriate drive corrective actions.
• Track/Review expenditure against budgets .
• Provide guidance and mentoring to the Project Management Team.
• Liaise with ITTE Line Manager/Resource Owners over use of resources on the program and obtain resource commitments
• Identify issues and risks to the completion of the Project and take action to manage project risk.
• Plan for and hold project review meetings with key stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively to the Project Stakeholders.
• Ensure quality assurance and control activities are performed in the project.
• Participate in the Main Projects’ management structures, providing progress reports and contribute to problem solving and overall team progress
• Operate all applicable processes within the sub-projects
Competence:
The successful candidate will:
• Have in excess of 5 years experience in telecommunications, IT and management.
• Have displayed Leadership and the ability to produce results
• Have demonstrated skills within the PM BOK knowledge areas.
• Be customer oriented with strong commercial awareness, some experience in the management of 3rd party projects is preferred.
• Have a recognized Project Management Qualification – preferably PMP
