IT Systems Analyst – Donegal

[b]We are searching for an individual with strong team interaction skills for our IT Operating Systems Analyst opening.[/b]

Responsibilities include configuration, administration, support, and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 and ESX VMWare operating systems for servers across the US and abroad. Manning of the team pager to respond to Priority break/fix issues. Perform back-up success/failure validations using Backup Exec, TSM, NetBackup, MS DPS and other backup software. Perform customer initiated and audit driven file restores. Research and resolve server capacity issues. Respond to and complete incident (break/fix) and service request tickets from customers. Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Configure server software, hardware and peripheral devices to resolve issues.

Work with the following technologies including and not limited to: Wintel Server 2000/2003/2008; HP Server Hardware; Cisco UCS; SAN and NAS attached storage; Arcserve, Veritas Backup Exec/Netbackup and TSM; Microsoft and Veritas Clusters. HP SIM, HP Openview, HP Server Automation.

[b]Primary Responsibilities:[/b]
Manning team pager for Priority break/fix issues on Windows or ESX VMware Servers
•Handling day to day Windows and ESX VMware server administration functions
•Supporting Windows and ESX VMware servers across the US and abroad
•Performing back-up success/failure validation
•Conducting customer initiated and audit driven file restores
•Researching and resolving drive capacity issues
•Responding to and completing incident (break/fix) and service request tickets from customers
•Working with 3rd party vendor(s) to repair/replace degraded Server hardware
•Maintain current documentation or create new documentation as required

[b]Qualifications:[/b]

[b]Essential: [/b]
•Bachelor's degree or 5+ years IT equivalent experience
•3+ years with Wintel Server 2000/2003/2008
•Experience working in an environment that serviced/monitored 500+ servers
•2+ years backup software experience
•Previous work within a team environment
•Experience with VMWare a must
•Experience with both SAN and NAS attached Storage

•Strong team player, good communication skills both verbal and written.
