Oracle Developer | PL/ SQL

Our client is looking for a Senior Oracle Developer with excellent PL/SQL to join one of their brand new teams. This is a really exciting role in a growing area for our client. Some of the responsibilities of this position will be to develop, unit test and deploy SQL, PL/SQL and to make enhancements, bug fixes and performance improvements

[b][red]Key[/b] [b][red]Responsibilities[/b]:
• Develop, unit test and deploy PL/SQL and SQL
• Make enhancements to the current systems by bug fixing and performance improvements.
• Participate in requirement gathering and validation
• Working in a team delivery project using the agile development methodology.
• Work with the QA teams to build the test plans, to validate new systems.

[b][red]Essential[/b] [b][red]Requirements[/b]:
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years’ development experience in Oracle 11g & PL/SQL
• Comfortable with multiple database concepts, e.g. RDBMS, Warehouse.
• Familiarity with logical data modeling and relational database design.
• Experience in working in UNIX environment, in Shell scripting.
• Experience in working with source control systems (preferably Subversion).
• Role may involve some travel abroad.

[b][red]Desirable Skill[/b]:

• DBA Skills will be required
• Exposure to Exadata or RAC is highly advantageous.
• Oracle Certification (OCP) would be highly desirable.
