Embedded Hardware Engineer

Hardware Engineer, £30k – £35k, Belfast, LS HAE

The Hardware Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager and receive general supervision.

Essential Duties

* Design and develop products for the company
* Plan and execute all aspects of project from end to end
* Responsible for quality, meeting customer needs and on time delivery of project
* Executes test procedures and qualification
* Owns board layout development, testing, requirements specification and process improvements
* Develops product to meet customer and business goals
* Prioritizes and schedules testing
* Interface with key suppliers to integrate their products & parts into our products.
* Drives continuous improvement in testing and automation
* Develop and support lab area productivity improvement efforts including testing, building fixtures and Calibration.
* Supports development team and provides needed pre-qualification and verification testing
* Ensure compliance to all regulatory needs for the product and business

Qualifications:

* Bachelor or Masters in Engineering Electrical/Electronic
* Candidate must have a minimum of 3-7 years in product development and validation experience in high voltage electronics
* Candidate must have in-depth understanding of regulatory needs like CE/UL, IEC, IEEE needs for High power industry
* Experience must include supporting a structured, process driven and continuous improvement organization.
* Experience in fault location, fault recording and/or power quality is desirable
* Strong interpersonal skill set include good technical communication
* Ability to work independently, Process oriented and self driven
