A PASSIONATE Acquisitions Specialist is required on a freelance basis by a long established Corporate Intermediary Firm. The position requires experience of dealing with the boards of public and private companies and an interest in corporate strategy and the SME environment. Previous M&A / corporate development / deal origination experience is a possible advantage, but is not a prerequisite.
The position would suit a well-rounded, experienced, meticulous and mobile person with their own base, preferably qualified to ACA / ACCA / MBA or equivalent level, although candidates with other qualifications will be considered.
The position could provide a flexible, freelance alternative to a daily commute, full-time corporate job. It can be full-time or part-time – as part of the individual’s portfolio of income streams. It requires a professional who has the ability to deal directly and effectively with the entrepreneurial owners of SME’s as well as the boards of publicly quoted companies.
Excellent financial/operational analysis, database research and interpersonal skills are essential, coupled with a passion for creating deals.
