VB.NET Analyst/ Programmer

A unique opportunity has arisen for a VB.NET Analyst/Programmer to join a highly reputable financial company. My Client are based in Dublin City Centre.

Your profile:

-Extensive experience with VB.NET and VB Scripting

-Very good knowledge of SQL Server/ Oracle

-Previous experience working as an analyst/ programmer

-BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

-Familiarity with C# will be a plus

-Interest in or previous experience working within the financial services sector would be an advantage

This is an excellent role for a mid-level VB.NET Analyst/ Programmer. About half of the time will be dedicated to requirements gathering, performing analyses, and compiling documentation – you will be liaising with business users at varying seniority levels. Another half of your time will be spent supporting and developing new parts of existing applications. You will be participating in major systems upgrades and you will be suggesting improvements and solutions to problems. You will be working on both, desktop and web applications.

This role will give you excellent exposure to IT solutions in the financial sector and will help you develop your business acumen.
