Application Analyst

Our Client currently has an opening for an Application Analyst for a Full Time position in the Mid-West of Ireland. The ideal candidate will be working alongside the application team supporting multiple applications with a particular focus on Application B2B File Transfer applications. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Application Support Manager.

Duties include;
• Serves as a technical expert on the assigned area's applications, including code, interfaces, configured business processes, technical stack and data flows;
• Responsible for the maintenance, technical support, configuration, implementation, upgrades and development of in-place programs and systems
• Coordinates with project teams, operations, clients and business analysts to translate detailed specifications into new or enhanced solutions.
• Demonstrates command of programming languages, scripting, middleware applications, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and interfacing
• Maintenance of overall technical environment to high standard of controllership to ensure a sustainable development process is employed and to ensure system stability, security and availability.
• Maintains peer relationships across IT areas and supplier to support effective implementations

Skills Set Required:

• BSC in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in the following fields; software development, systems integration and managed file transfer.
• Solid understanding of technologies and standards such as XML/ebXML, BPML, J2EE, web services/SOAP
• Solid knowledge of operating systems such as Unix, Linux and Windows
• Familiarity of communication protocol standards such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2 and Connect: Direct.
• Familiarity with basic network concepts such as; IP/port config, firewalls, DMZs, VPNs etc.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.瑳
