Responsibilities:
• Develop high quality product documentation to agreed timescales. Materials include installation instructions, installation and configuration manuals, operator manuals, user manuals, online help, and product datasheets.
• Write for different audience levels including installation engineers, system operators, end-users, and sales teams
• Create content for new products, new features, compliance to standards, and fix documentation issues
• Learn new products and tools quickly
• Read technical specifications and translate complex concepts into easy to understand content
• Install new firmware and software builds and refer to build release notes to identify updates
• Track all changes and coordinate documentation reviews
• Create content in a structured authoring environment (DITA, XML) using a task oriented approach
• Create drawings in Adobe Illustrator
• Produce documents in multiple formats including print, PDF, and online help

• Familiarity with client-server technologies
Education & Experience:
• Third level qualification in technical communications, computer science, or a related area
• Minimum of 3 years technical writing experience in an R&D environment
• Fluent English speaker with excellent written English
• Familiarity with documentation of electronic hardware would be advantageous
• Experienced in the following tools: Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Snagit Screen Capture, structured authoring content management tool
• Experience developing documents in a structured authoring environment (DITA, XML) is preferable
