INTACT Software has been in operation since 1992. We are suppliers of accounting and IT solutions to businesses throughout Ireland. Our head office is in Dundalk and we have a branch in Cork.

Job Purpose

We are looking to expand the business and wish to appoint another Senior IT hardware engineer to work from our base in Dundalk. The role will mainly be field based, calling with customer sites mainly in Leinster and Northern Ireland.  

Key Responsibilities

The role involves  installation, configuration and support of the following products
•    Microsoft Windows Server 2012/ Server 2008 including 2011 Small Business Server
•    Desktop operating systems (Win 8 /Win 7  / Vista)
•    Exchange Server 5.5 and higher
•    Terminal Server and relevant services / Citrix (advantageous)
•    VMWare & Hyper-V Virtualisation
•    Microsoft Office and Integration
•    Symantec Security and Mail filtering products as well as a strong understanding of SMTP and POP. Symantec backup exec and relevant hardware
•    Nod 32 Antivirus
•    Shadow Protect Imaging Backup Software
•    HP Hardware, Proliant Intel based servers
•    Zyxel, Cisco, Ruckus wireless and firewall devices (expert knowledge in security and VPN an advantage)
•    Microsoft SQL  Server

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

    IT graduate with excellent communication skills
    3 years relevant IT installation & configuration experience.

Hours of Work

•    Working hours are normally 9:00am–17:30pm Monday to Friday, however you may be required to work early mornings /late evenings on an ad-hoc basis. Weekend work may also be required on an ad-hoc basis.
