Technical Support Engineer

[b]Technical Support Engineer [/b]
Work in the Midlands with a market-leading leading software company! My client requires a Technical Support Engineer for a permanent position in a fast-paced and rewarding environment in Athlone. The successful Technical Support Engineer will provide training and support to users in person, by phone, email and using remote support tools.
The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering training programs to end users on proprietary software must have strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

[b]Responsibilities [/b]
• Deliver high quality product training to trainees of different skill sets
• Develop and maintain training materials
• Ensure the effective and timely resolution of technical problems
• Manage returns and replacement of defect hardware

[b]Required Skills[/b]
• 1+ year(s) providing technical support in a similar environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/7/8
• Remote access tools
• Experience of GPRS/GPS products, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile OS (an advantage)
• Knowledge of databases /SQL (an advantage)
