Telecoms and Network Support

HiberniaEvros are currently seeking an [b]experienced Telecoms and Network Support Engineer[/b] for our Client, an [b]enterprise government department[/b], for a [b]long term contract[/b] based in [b]Longford town[/b].

[b]General Role:[/b]
• Proactive monitoring of LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video Network
• Provide Tier 2/3 network support to IT and end users
• Trending and base lining of communications network to maintain availability as the IP estate evolves
• Design and implementation of IP networks for new estates
• Unified communications Rollouts

[b]Requirements:[/b]
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a similar environment
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco routing and switching experience is essential
• Knowledge of VOIP, QoS, and Video conferencing
• Experience of radio communications is required as the primary WAN is provided over a managed radio network
• Knowledge of Network Access Control software
• Exceptional understanding of all types of networking hardware and software
• Extensive experience of network security products (firewalls, IP encryption etc.) is essential
• Telephony, including mobile and analogue

• Ericsson PABX (including SIP Trunking between MX One platform and Cisco Call Manager)
• End to end QOS environments

• Experience of managing all aspects large campus network environments including cabling and active equipment.

• LAN Switching – Ethernet, Spanning Tree, VLANs, Port-Channels, 802.1Q trunking, WLAN
• WAN – MPLS over IP networking, MPLS PE/CE configurations, Metro Ethernet, VRF/VPN, L2TPv3, GRE, DMVPN, QinQ, MTU management
• Data Centre – Cisco Nexus Switching (NX 7K/5K/2K/1Kv platforms), VDC, vPC, FCoE, OTV, DCI technologies, SAN Fibre Channel switching and integration, Cisco Unified Computing System (B series)
• Network Segregation & Virtualisation – VLANs, VRFs, VDCs, VPNs and overlay networking
• Data Encryption – Inter Networking device encryption (IPSec, GETVPN, DMVPN with protection)
• VPN – Remote Access and Overlay VPNs for 3rd Party or untrusted network users
• Unified Communications – Cisco Unified Communications environment version 9.x, SIP, H322, MGCP, SCCP, LDAP integration, Dial-Plan, least cost routing
• Video Conferencing – Cisco/Tandberg estate, TMS, Multi party conferencing,
• Security – Firewalls (Juniper, Cisco ASA, Fortinet), Router & LAN Switch security features, AAA Radius/TACACS+, NAC technology, 802.1X
• Network Management – Solarwinds NMS, Kiwi Cattools, Netflow Tracker, Cisco DCNM
