itContracting are currently seeking applicants on behalf of our client, a multi-national computer technology company and market leader in digital transformation, for an Agile Coach. This is a 6-month daily-rate contract position based with our client in Cork.
Our client is looking for an Agile Coach to implement Agile best practices and standards into their new cloud services offering.
As an Agile Coach, you will work with Production and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for the adoption of Agile best practices to help ensure that the new cloud service delivers the performance, reliability and availability expected by our client’s customers. You will guide teams to help them stay on track with Agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure the overall strategy is being met. You will promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and being accountable for them. You should drive cultural change by championing an Agile mindset and ensure the organization is at the forefront of industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile learning and development through individual and team coaching
- Coach senior management in Agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from top-down
- Effectively communicate Agile principles and practices, Kanban methodology and overall operating model across the organization and facilitate a standardized approach to implementation
- Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across teams
- Support development of Agile communities of practice to drive standards across the organization
- Keep an objective perspective on issues and troubleshoots by applying Agile principles
- Help facilitate the various Agile ceremonies with the teams to ensure they are following best practices
- Support SRE’s and Product Owners in determining the resource allocation to maintain an appropriate level of cognitive load
- Help build a sustainable and scalable Agile model that can scale across existing teams and further parts of the wider organization
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in a similar Agile Coach or Agile Practitioner role
- Experience in the Kanban project management methodology
- Can showcase examples of implementing Agile techniques in different cultures and environments
- Experience running Agile projects of varying size and complexity
- Experience in hardware and software operational environments is beneficial
- Experience in cloud as a service environments is desirable
- Strong leader, educator and coach
- An excellent communicator and motivator
