Global IT Cloud Operations Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to be the driving force behind a digital transformation within an established multinational business.

My client are looking for an experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead the 3 arms of their Ops department. You'll be in charge of the Support, Infrastructure and Cloud DevOps teams and be the primary decision maker relating to upcoming projects on their datacentre automation and cloud migration projects.

You'll need to ideally be a very confident leader who can organise the department, make technical project based decision and mentor more junior engineers. But you'll also need to be at ease making cost effective calls related to server migrations, cloud v on-prem and hardware purchasing.

You'll lead a team of around 15 people across multiple geographical locations. You'll need to be someone who has experience of managing managers and be as comfortable speaking with your junior engineers as you are with senior stakeholders.

The role won't be hands on as such, but there are a number of technical areas across the 3 teams where you'll need to be highly knowledgeable:

Support: Office 365, Active Directory

Infrastructure: VMware, Firewalls, Networking (DNS, routing/switching), Windows servers, SQL server

Cloud Ops: Azure DevOps, Azure cloud, Terraform, Packer, Powershell
