Python Software Engineer – Limerick (Flexible working)
This is an excellent opportunity where innovation is at the forefront of the business using technology as its platform. The Python Software Engineer will work in collaboration with cross functional teams on GREENFIELD projects. You will contribute towards real-time, tracking systems that drive company efficiencies and build infrastructure-less, cloud-hosted workflow solutions to bring greater visibility, predictability and efficiency.
Flexible working is in place post covid, you will be able to work from home but will need to come into the office at least 1-2 days a week.

Role Responsibilities:
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
• Write well-designed, testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ensure software is updated with latest features
Knowledge & Skills
• The successful candidate will need to have at least 1-3 years of experience in the relevant areas
• Programming skills, Python, Java, C, Javascript, Node JS
• TCP/IP Knowledge, Lan, Wireless router configuration and debugging
• Good fault finding and analysis skills.
• Good Linux knowledge and some shell scripting experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies - AWS
• GIT experience and knowledge
• AWS IoT experience a bonus
• Experience with Raspberry Pi or Arduino
• Hardware and prototyping knowledge.
• Experience working in a high-paced agile Continuous Integration/Deployment environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline in Computer Science or a relevant discipline
