Job Description

We are looking several IT Field Service Engineers to join our IT Infrastructure Support Team GSC - NSC.

The GSC – NSC IT Infrastructure team supports the Group Service Centers and National Service Centers within Eurofins.

This covers approx. 4,000 end users and more than 60 sites across the world. We are building the infrastructure for this but also the support team which is required to support the required services within the GSN and NSC scope.

Responsibilities

As part of the GSC – NSC IT Infrastructure team you will support and execute strategic and transformational initiatives, such as:

  • The segregation execution program, by performing Network-, Hardware-, Security assessment and assessment on potential integration with other systems or solutions
  • The implementation and on site execution of the different segregated zones (IT User Zones)

Main activities, but not limited to, are:

  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated IT equipment
  • Ordering and managing computer hardware
  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such incident handling and tickets
  • Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
  • Maintaining laptops, PCs and other equipment and ensuring they are properly working
  • Taking ownership of faults and managing them in a logical and methodical manner;
  • Correctly logging service requests, incidents and tickets, categorizing and prioritizing them in line with Eurofins procedures
  • Conducting full and thorough diagnostics with end users to enable first point of contact fault resolution
  • Ensuring all incidents and tickets are progressed & cleared within SLA – escalating to other internal and external teams as appropriate
  • Managing tickets and incidents through their entire lifecycle from the first point of contact through to resolution, proactively

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
  • At least three years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
  • Skilled with working with Microsoft products and Windows
  • Skilled with working on MS Office (2010, 2016 and O365) and MS Teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
