Application Support Specialist required for a multinational based in Dublin city centre. The Application Support Engineer will join an established team tasked with ensuring all systems are performing accordingly. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving skills and communication skills to resolve customer issues in a timely manner. What is involved:

• Monitor all aspects of the  global brokerage system
• Analyse, resolve or escalate brokerage system operational issues
• Communicate with exchanges to configure, test, and implement new trading technologies
• Work with our developers to design new and improve on existing processes
• Design and develop new monitoring and automation processes
• Act as primary escalation point for any technical issues

What is needed:

·        3+ years in a software application support role

·        Experience working in a Microsoft Windows environment

·        Experience with Unix / Linux style command line interfaces

·        Prior experience with scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python)

·        A keen desire to explore and learn new concepts, systems and technologies

·        PowerShell scripting, Command prompt, Different web browsers

·        Excellent communication skills to deal with customer issues efficiently and effectively
