Job Description

We are looking to hring great engineers, business analysts and technologists into the business to build and grow an organization with a start-up spirit, to implement world-class software solutions and the strongest IT foundation possible - Made in Ireland - for a business with an enormous global footprint.

Within the Eurofins’ Solutions Engineering Office (SEO), you as a Technical Project Manager will work with development leads, solution architects, product owners and program managers to manage and track a roadmap of exciting application development and IT transformation projects. You will be part of a high performance team and will get the opportunity to work with some of the most transformational software projects that make a real difference.

Other responsibilities of Technical Project Manager:

• Working with program managers to define new development roadmaps and report on existing program activities
• Assist the development teams in the solutioning of problems, resolution of issues/dependencies and removal of blockers
• Provide project management expertise and oversight of IT projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery without compromising high quality deliverables
• Project management in terms of status reporting, resource planning and planning of future activities
• Provide periodic reporting on project status, activities and tasks, risk, interdependencies and issues for presentation to senior executives and other major stakeholders
• Take ownership of IT projects and initiatives and bring them to a successful closure
• Continuous improvement to the application of lean engineering principles and other methodologies for the building and scaling of high performing technology organisations
• Preparation and presentation of decision-making material to IT program leadership

Qualifications

Optimal for you to have a Degree in Computer Science, Technology Management or similar related qualification, a plus would be to have certifications in project management or technical delivery. With 5-10 years of experience managing projects, and at least 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Delivery Manager of complex IT projects in a large, preferably international organization

In addition your qualification will include:

• You will have proven analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with track record of working directly with senior leadership levels
• Strong customer focused, team oriented communication skills with emphasis on building lasting, trusted partnerships through written and verbal communications with clients of IT in the business
• Successful experiences working with teams to deliver complex IT programs
• Excellent understanding and experience of full SDLC
• Able to mentor team members in lean engineering principles and practices
• Excellent planning, documentation, communication and influencing skills
• You must be comfortable with working in a team-focused, collaborative environment and participate in all tasks relating to solution design, implementation, and integration and testing.
• Collaboration and Relationships - Able to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships
• Working knowledge of Microsoft development environments, DevOps and cloud technologies is desired
• Previous software engineering or related technical experience is an advantage
