Automation Test Engineer - Daily Rate Contract

I have an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Automation Test Engineer within a global organisation. My client are looking for a candidate that is passionate about automation testing and are looking for a fully technical role.

This role will be flexible on remote working but may require 1-2 days in the office when all goes back to normal.

The Role:

This role will involve working on hands on test automation which will have a big focus on BDD and CI/CD in an Agile environment so experience with tools like Serenity, Cucumber and Jenkins would be a big plus. This role will be well suited to a senior QA who is looking for a role that offers hands on automation exposure.

Requirements:

* Degree in computer science or similar
* At least 5 years' experience in a QA automation role
* Experience with test automation tools like Selenium
* BDD experience - Serenity, Cucumber etc
* Strong Java skills
* CI/CD - Jenkins or similar
* Performance testing experience would be a plus

Requirements:

* Technical Experience and BA or BS in a related field.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
* Ability to advocate quality initiatives and best practices including test automation, Continuous Integration, and Sprint Doneness within an Agile Development environment
* Experience an understanding of test design in both a manual and automated framework, such as Specflow, Selenium Webdriver, and Nunit

Preferred:

* Proficiency in C# coding practices and writing SQL queries
* 3+ years' Software testing experience
* Deep understanding of technologies and frameworks such as Visual Studio, XML, SOAP, and JSON
* Experience working in an Agile environment and using Continuous Integration
* Experience with testing SaaS, e-commerce, web, or cloud applications
