The Security Operations Centre (SOC) houses the cyber security team responsible for monitoring and analysing an organisation’s security posture on an ongoing basis. The SOC team’s goal is to provide 24x7x365 capabilities to detect, analyse, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using a combination of technology solutions and a strong set of processes.
The SOC staff work closely with the Network Operation team (NOC) to ensure security issues are addressed quickly upon discovery.
The SOC Analyst monitors and analyses activity on networks, servers, endpoints, databases, applications, websites, and other systems, looking for anomalous activity that could be indicative of a security incident or compromise.
We are looking for SOC Analyst Level 2 to perform the following duties
- Interact with customers to gather requirements and ensure the configuration of SIEM solutions
- Assist in the development of policy, process, and standards of Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) program and participate in CIRT activities as needed
- Provide guidance to Level 1 Analysts
- Develop requirements and procedures for forensic analysis
- Active participation with external entities including intelligence/government agencies
- Engages with other internal and external parties to get and share information to improve processes and security posture

- Strong customer service skills to follow-up with clients to maintain project schedule
- Eager to work with challenging and technical concepts; self-learning ability (you’re ready to dive into new technologies and extend your own expertise)
- Knowledge of Linux platforms
- Assures procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant
- Reporting and continuous improvement mindset
- Capability to ensure confidentiality and discretion in performing sensitive tasks
Candidates who are applying to work in the Security Operations Centre (SOC) will be required to undergo additional security screening, to provide assurance that the candidate does not have an employment, educational or criminal history that might preclude them from the role.
