DATA ENGINEER - MID LEVEL
SCOPE & DUTIES
- You'll join a growing engineering and data science team as a central member taking responsibility for data engineering needs on the MS stack in an Elastic & Cassandra-NoSQL environment (Azure)
- You'll manage key data pipelines
- Ensure clean and elegant data engineering solutions are in place
- Work to manage scaling data systems and the demands placed on an enterprise data engineering architecture
THE RIGHT HIRE?
The right candidate will hold a minimum of c.2-4 years' experience and is eager to step up & work with various stakeholders to maintain a high level of data engineering practices
This role works across data systems and as such you need to be open minded, willing to learn and willing to adapt.
DUTIES
- Develop models with focus on customer activity / behaviour
- Thorough analysis of customer data / sales data / category data
- Derive insights on customer activity and make suggestions for further analysis
- Be creative with data - surprise and delight with findings and help stakeholders feel confident in their decision making using your findings.
- Developing data repositories for unique client access and data processing needs
SKILLS:
- Scripting language(s)
- Data Engineering
- Data Pipeline Building
- Data Tuning / Performance assessment
- Working with third party providers as required
