Vice President Security Engineering
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established Global leader with a strong presence. The VP of Security Engineering will play a crucial role in leading, maturing, and continuously improving the enterprise-wide, security solutions engineering team. Responsibilities:
• Responsible for strategic thought leadership around all security initiatives
• Prioritize and recommend security improvements to software, hardware, and policies as part of the global security strategy.
• Establish and maintain security best practices and policies throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering leaders to ensure developed software is meeting industry best practices and standards.
• Develop standard operating procedures, playbooks, training materials, process improvement and documentation.
• Manage the professional development of direct reports, creating and promoting career trajectory, training, and mentorship within the team.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide security solutions that enhances the security and functionality of legacy systems and seamlessly integrates new technologies in a “cloud first” digital environment.


Requirements
• Multi-disciplinary expertise and experience in domains such as application development, application security, security operations, cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability management, incident management/response, identity and access management, or cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Established knowledge with respect to governance, regulatory, and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST CSF, ISO2700X, and PCI-DSS
• Experience building and leading exceptional teams, with the capability to develop and guide information security team members and IT operations personnel, and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to collaborate at all levels with the team and push yourself and the team outside of their comfort zone.
• Excellent relationship building skills - will leverage these skills to partner with technical and business leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and be comfortable presenting ideas and issues to different levels within and outside of the organization, to include; executive leadership, customers, auditors, etc.
• Ability to remain current on security industry trends and attacker tools, techniques, and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of the security vendor landscape and ability to manage 3rd party security providers.
• Security-related certification such as the CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC is a plus
