CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Software SaaS
Solas IT has partnered with a Niche Software Product based company based in Shannon Co. Clare who is seeking to appoint a CTO due to expansion. (they have recently secured high-level VC funding.)
• Technology Officer to lead the development of its next-generation product.
• We develop process-oriented solutions that support the client's unique scientific workflows.
• We are seeking a highly-skilled CTO with experience developing a B2B SaaS product from MVP to scale up.
• The CTO will be responsible for making executive technology decisions including managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with its long-term vision.
• You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.
• You will work directly under the CEO. Initially, you will manage the existing team and plan to recruit/expand the team.
• Experience in any Software Language is acceptable
• Must have experience in Software Product, SASS, and cloud.
• It will be your responsibility to develop a staffing strategy to support the company product development efforts but also technical support and IT operations.
• You should be prepared and excited to lead an interdisciplinary engineering team composed of DevOps, software developers, and systems engineers.
• Even though the company has been operating for several years, opportunities exist for this position to secure a co-founder equity position.
• Setting a vision for how technology will support the company business objectives.
• Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.
• Outline the goals for research and development.
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.
• Acting as a mentor to team members.
• Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of IT projects to market.
• Managing technology budgets and time frames.
• Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
• Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, refactoring and code standards)
• Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into the design
• 3 -5 years minimum of experience managing a software development team
• Experience engaging clients in the specification of complex applications.
• Experience setting DevOps processes in a cloud environment
• Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
• Prior experience developing database-driven applications
• Experience managing agile software development processes
• Extensive experience using and developing APIs
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Cloud Platform deployment
