Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Our client is a booming SAAS company using enterprise class cloud technologies and offering exciting products. Their solutions enable businesses to meet the challenges associated with improving the productivity of workforces from real-time and historical data. They have an urgent requirement for a Software Developer in Test to join the expanding team.
About the person
We are looking for someone with an innovative mind set and experience building automation frameworks for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem resolution and judgment skills. This would suit someone who is comfortable working in this atmosphere and has the motivation to strive towards constant effectiveness and efficiency within the QA team.

Responsibilities
• Write automated tests using ideally in C# or Java, NUnit and Selenium WebDriver
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Web UI, API and DB automation framework to meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Maintain existing tests ensuring compatibility with any newly developed platform features
Execute, investigate, and report on the success of automated and manual tests as part of an Agile development lifecycle

Requirements
• Strong understanding of Object Orientated Design practices.
• Experience with web application technologies and understanding of Web UI / Browser based testing including a strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Good working experience and knowledge of Automation tools, technologies, and best practices.
• SQL proficiency (intermediate level).
• 3 years overall experience in the development of both Web UI Test Automation Frameworks and Automated Web UI Tests
• Minimum 2 years of continuous automation experience using C#.
• Minimum of 1-year experience using Selenium Web Driver
• Experience with the C# or Java Selenium Page Object Model
• Strong knowledge of Web and browser technologies.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent education
