Senior Consultant, Oracle

Role:
Our client is the number one top up provider in the world.
Based in Dublin, the Core Systems team is part of the larger IT Operations team that manage our client's worldwide IT requirements. They are a hybrid cloud company with systems running on premise, AWS, Azure and Google. They need someone who is excited by the words "maintainable, scalable and 24/7/365" to ensure our client's operations run smoothly and efficiently without interruption. You'll be involved in all aspects of running and scaling our enterprise platform's infrastructure and services, while maintaining system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain day to day IT requirements for the whole enterprise
* Support all key areas of business including level 2/3 business/user requests, virtual servers, backup management, monitoring systems, corporate enterprise and production systems,
* Support all aspects of user identity management including Active Directory, enterprise applications, SSO, cloud-based systems access etc
* Design, build and maintain new enterprise technologies based around a cloud focused strategy
* Interface with business management to ensure all key technical requirements are met
* Define and document support procedures for the NOC team
* Implement and maintain industry standards such as ISO27001 and PCI DSS
* Support the business day to day needs and be part of an on-call support workflow

Requirements:
* Worked in a 24*7 production environment
* You have 5 years' or more experience in an enterprise operational or production support role
* You have spent a lot of time working with enterprise systems like Windows Server 2012/16/19, virtualisation technologies VMWare/Hyper-V
* You have a very good understanding of the Microsoft enterprise stack including Active Directory, Group Policy management, DNS management, System Centre, Direct Access, Teams
* You have had experience in cloud-based environments like Azure, Google, AWS and Office 365
* You have a good understanding of backup strategies and systems
* You've working knowledge of Linux and have some decent Linux scripting skills
* You're a dab hand with a task automation using such tools as PowerShell
* You've dabbled in a bit of scripting, maybe PowerShell, Python, Perl, VBS or JSON
* You have strived to get something similar to a Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience

Nice to Have(s):
* If you have some knowledge about automated deployment tools such as Puppet or Octopus that would be great too!
