Director of IT
We have an excellent opportunity to join a global leader putting their customers at the heart of the business which has helped propel them to one of the leading providers in their domain. You will be required to provide leadership and guidance to several agile and/or infrastructure and operations teams supporting various business and technical capabilities, services or functional areas of IT.

Responsibilities of the Director of IT Role:
• Solving business and technology challenges related to the implementation of CRM technologies
• Strong knowledge of the foundational Salesforce Data object model including Lead, Opportunity, Quote objects
• Takes bold action to ensure there is a strong, diverse talent and leadership pipeline in place to meet aggressive business goals.
• Understands the needs of a self-organizing team (cross-functioning, partners with the business, collaborative, works quickly and unencumbered, be empowered and autonomous, be able to focus on self-improvement)
• For Agile teams, ensures that the scrum team(s) apply the best software engineering practices.
• For Infrastructure and Operations teams, ensures that we benchmark against associated services to keep service delivery and support at an appropriate cost.
Required Skills and Experience for the Director of IT Role:
• 8+ years’ experience in an IT field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Degree in computer science preferred, or relevant technical experience
• Prior management experience is a must
• Salesforce Certification desirable, for example Certified Salesforce (Advanced) Administrator, Certified Platform Builder/Developer, Certified Community Cloud consultant.
• Strong background in a development environment a must, with experience of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and associated tooling, Jenkins, SonarCube etc
• Demonstrates leadership in executing IT plans successfully that enable technical or business capabilities and address technology or business priorities
• Proficient in agile team development as well as awareness of team training opportunities.
• Proficient in methods and techniques for running effective meetings and for understanding and influencing the roles played by participants.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
