Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: Leipzig, Germany
Salary: €65K + benefits
Main duties:
* Processing and documenting reported incidents and technical issues
* Follow ITIL best practices
* Work with colleagues to ensure reliable and continuous delivery of services
* Collaborate with the customers via Skype for Business, Phone, Mail or Remote sessions
* Dealing with tech support issues on 2nd and 3rd level
* Migrations, performance optimization and troubleshooting
* Backup and restore
* Use monitoring solutions and define requirements to optimize SQL operations
* Implementation of high availability solutions with MS SQL Server
* Implementation of small on-the-job projects, participation in medium and large projects
Requirements:
* Degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent education
* Good knowledge in the operation of IT landscapes
* Proven practical experience in managing SQL Server environments, security, migration, and troubleshooting
* Knowledge of Microsoft SQL
* Desired knowledge in Power BI, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
* Strong communication skills
* Fluent English and German
* Availability to work out of office hours (paid separately)
* Desirable: ITIL Foundation certification
* Min 2 years in a similar role
