UX & Web Designer
My Client is a prominent media and news company and has had a leading presence in the Irish market for over 150 years. They are currently seeking a creative and ambitious UX & Web Designer to join their expanding and innovative UX and Design team based in Dublin.

Responsibilities of the UX & Web Designer role:
• Adopt a data-driven and innovative approach to design challenges
• Conceptualise creative design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
• Present and defend designs decisions to peers and stakeholders, both internal and external
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
• Be an advocate for the user
• Participate in user research and usability testing activities
• Execute all visual design stages from concepts and low-fidelity mock-ups to high-fidelity prototypes for vetting, user testing and other activities
• Maintain expertise in relevant software technologies
• Write well designed, testable, efficient front end code by using best software development practices
• Create designs, layouts and user interfaces by using industry standard HTML, CSS and Javascript including frameworks and pre-processors
• Contribute to developing and maintaining robust style guides for consumer and business-facing products
• The UX & Web Designer will work in a collaborative agile environment
• Provide knowledge to project managers to facilitate analysing briefs effectively and breaking them into requirements and deliverables
• Work with the project managers, business owners and product development teams to ensure all briefs are understood, completed efficiently and delivered within set deadlines
• Ensure all development work and project work is carried out using agreed structured methodologies
• Work with the test coordinator in implementing thorough testing protocols
• Participate in all stages of the full development life cycle including documentation and handover
