Technical Support Manager - Galway
€50,000 - €65,000 DOE
We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join an award winning SaaS company in one of Ireland's most popular destinations. The client are currently seeking the an experienced Technical Support Manager to come on board and assist in the strategic delivery of the IT Support team.
You will be a motivated leader that has the ability to manage both local and remote technical support engineers. You will have a background in technology but within the past years you will be specifically focused on management and driving process improvement.
The report will report directly to the Infrastructure Manager. You will be managing a team of 10 IT engineers, 7 in Ireland and 3 based in the US solving queries from the team and end users. You will also be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of the team members along with the hiring and training of new team members.
Management is key but in terms of technical ability, it would be nice to have a background in some if not all of the following.
· Linux/Unix OS
· Networking (TCP/IP)
· Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper V, Citrix, Xen)
· Cloud Computing (AWS)

Technical Support Manager Requirements:
· Ability to lead and manage technical teams of 10+
· Minimum of 3 years experience in management
· Fluent English communication skills - verbal and written
· Background in creating procedures, policies and standards
· Familiar with Linux/Unix
· Knowledge of Networking
· Virtualisation & Cloud understanding is beneficial
