Web Designer/Developer
The Role
My client operates one of the world’s busiest and largest ecommerce research platforms. They work alongside over 400 clients across different industry sectors
Responsibilities of the Web Designer/Developer Role:
• Designing and enhancing the look and feel of the current e-commerce websites by designing effective proposals in either Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Work alongside the IT Manager with the freedom to drive innovation in the UX area. Converting these to HTML and CSS, which will need to be responsive and adhere to best practice.
• Designing and developing mail campaign templates and other marketing material for the web.

Required Skills and Experience for the Web Designer/Developer Role:
• 3+ years of experience in making beautiful, responsive websites
• Proficient in Photoshop and/or Illustrator
• Experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Comfortable working at all stages of the design process from wireframe to production
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Experience designing for mobile and touch devices
• Responsive web design
• Solid understanding of usability and visual design principles

Desirable Skills for the Web Designer/Developer Role:
• Knowledge of jQuery / JavaScript pre-processors (specifically LESS)
• Front end frameworks such as Bootstrap or other similar frameworks
• Website performance
• Git
