Senior BI Developer / Senior Data Analyst required to join a rapidly expanding entertainment group in Dublin City Centre (Dublin 2)

IT Search have been asked to explore this role on a consultancy basis - advising on strategic data assets and hiring capabilities for the group going forward.  

• My Client was established in the mid 2010's and run multiple entertainment locations throughout Ireland. This is a new role and they envisage considerable growth over the next 12 months. Culture is dynamic with a real start-up feel to it!
• This is a very interesting role with a lot of autonomy and a wide scope. You will have ownership for the analysis, design and delivery of data management, data visualisation, warehousing, analysis and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• You will be required to query data from multiple sources in order to create, maintain and develop BI reports for all aspects of the business (operations, marketing, finance etc) and also use the data and reports to perform business and customer analytics (like creating meaningful KPIs or creating customer segments for targeting).

Requirements:

• Continuously develops and maintains an understanding of Business Intelligence technology and architecture, including data warehousing, dimensional modelling, OLAP functionality, reporting tools, and other methods of information delivery.

• Develop & maintains existing BI tools.
• Develop data models, data shaping logic & data visualisations in SQL, Power BI & Excel

• Analyse, understand, and document user needs to ensure accurate fulfillment of user story requests from internal business customers.

• Develop database and/or data presentation solutions to deliver information to end-users accurately and efficiently

• Extracts, transforms, & loads data using data management tools and T-SQL.

• Contribute to project teams that are developing or modifying highly complex information solutions.

Essential Skills 

• 4+ years of Business Intelligence Development
• Highly skilled in developing reports and performing analysis using a significant BI or Data Visualisation tool (such as PowerBI, Qlikview, Tableau)
• Strong experience writing and optimising complex SQL queries
• Strong analytical skills – you will be required to use the data to do everything from providing high-level KPIs to improving our customer segmentation models

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Non Essential but nice to have:

• MS Power BI experience, although not essential, is a strong plus (as it is the tool we are currently using)
• Customer level analytics (CLTV calculations)
• Some experience with R, Python or Matlab.

• Experience working with dimensional data warehouse

• Experience working with R, JSON, XML
