itContracting, on behalf of our client, are currently seeking applicants for a QA Engineer. This is a permanent position based with our client in Waterford.

Responsibilities:

* Testing our client's Web and Mobile Applications through manual and automated testing techniques
* Creating, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing suites
* Providing root-cause analysis of issues and debugging errors
* Contributing to the overall design of the solution and selection of technologies
* Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders on providing the best technical solutions
* Working closely with our client's Software Development Team to articulate test results and document defects

Experience & Skills Required:

* Third Level Degree/ Masters in a Computer Science related discipline
* 2 to 5 years' software testing experience
* Experience testing Web and Mobile Applications (Android and iOS)
* Experience with JIRA or similar tools
* Experience working in an Agile environment
* SCM using Git, Git workflows
* Building, debugging, automated test (unit, functional) and continuous integration
* Experience creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
* Experience writing Automated tests for Web and Mobile using Selenium, Appium or similar test automation frameworks
* Experience using JMeter and/or other Performance testing tools
* Experience and knowledge of RDBMS databases e.g. PostgreSQL
* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze problems
* Capable of working independently under the direction of Senior QA's
* Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
* Passionate about technology with the ability to incorporate new languages and tools when needed
* Independent thinker, collaborative teammate, willingness to learn
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability and desire to work with complex, integrated solutions
* Entrepreneurial spirit with an innovative, inventive and curious nature
* Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred:

* Knowledge of payment processing or other financial technologies
* Experience with Node.js
* Experience with GoCD
* Experience and knowledge of NoSQL databases e.g. Mongo
* Experience with Docker
