Our client is building their IT Network team presently and this position could progress to leadership opportunities in the future.

The onus is on the Network Engineer to manage the Network Infrastructure and Services supporting the overall Organisation.

The positions will include:

The operation of the WAN/LAN and related Services.

Managing relationships with external Network hardware and software vendors and work as part of a team to deliver business and system upgrade and enhancement projects.

Supporting the corporate Network IT infrastructure Technical and Security standards and manage the procurement of hardware, software and Services supporting the Network function.

Reviewing new Network service changes and signing off against acceptance and quality assurance criteria.

Reviewing, prioritizing and scheduling the infrastructure and operations Network workload primarily across Business As Usual Operations.

Skills Required for the role:

* Relevant third level qualification in computer science or related field with a Network Engineering focus.
* Cisco Certified to CCNA level.
* In depth knowledge and strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware/TCP/IP networking and WAN/LAN protocols..
* Troubleshooting of enterprise applications
* Provide coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others.

This position may require participation in an On Call Rota and/or some attendance outside of normal working hours.
