Web & Mobile Application Security Engineer
itContracting are pleased to be partnering with our multinational client in the hiring of a Web and Mobile Applications Cyber Security Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a Web and/or mobile applications and OS development background to make the move into leading-edge Cyber Security. This is a permanent position based in South Dublin.
You will work with global Cyber Security teams in the development of security solutions and capabilities across a large and diverse estate of web and mobile applications. You will work on identifying vulnerabilities within web and mobile applications, examine and analyse emerging threats and develop strategies on how to best combat them.
Working closely with wider infrastructure and security teams you will act as an SME on application security and leverage existing and emerging technologies to provide layers of defence.
Experience:
* A minimum of 4 years in a Development role, focused primarily on back-end Web and/or mobile development
* Ideally educated to third level or equivalent in a Computer Science discipline, e.g. software engineering, development or Networking technologies
* Good programming skills in web technologies and likes of Python and Bash scripting
* Good knowledge of Mobile OS such as Android and IOS and development of mobile applications
* Knowledge of security principles and technologies as applied to Web applications
* Experience in securing DevOps CI/CD pipelines related to web and mobile development
* Strong experience of SDLC and delivery methodologies such as Agile
* Knowledge and interest in Cyber Security, Risk, Vulnerability Assessment and Threat Detection
* Any security related qualifications from bodies such as GIAC and SANS, such as Web Application Security Certification (GWEB), GXPN and OSCP, Certified Ethical Hacker and/or CISSP would be beneficial
