Senior Oracle DBA - Cork

My client, a leader in software solutions, is currently seeking to expand their team with a Senior Oracle DBA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's database systems including back-up, performance tuning, capacity planning and monitoring.

You will get exposure to the latest versions of Oracle technology and report to senior management directly.

The Role:

* You will be responsible for design, development, administration, performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases
* Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures
* Tuning SQL and PL/SQL code
* Provide training to users
* Maintain database policies, procedures and standards
* Ensure data security
* Ensure privacy and integration kept up to date and monitered
* Disaster recovery planning
* Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

* At least 4-5 years proven work experience as an Oracle Database administrator
* Degree or Diploma in a technical discipline
* Oracle certified
* Proven experience with database standards and end user applications
* Excellent knowledge of SQL
