Test Environment and Release Manager
Description
We are looking for an experienced technology manager to coordinate our physical and virtual test environments across our Funds Services application platform and coordinate releases into these test environments. The role will require ongoing interaction with technology project and programme managers, development managers, support teams and test managers to plan, organise and manage the deployment of software across the platform. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a similar role with a global focus.

Responsibilities of the Test Environment and Release Manager Role:
• Support program manager via timely and accurate project updates to program team and stakeholders and detailed tracking and organisation of environments.
• Lead release activities across the end-to-end test environments.
• Monitor and maximise the uptime of the test environments, identifying owners for addressing problems and ensuring both corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• In conjunction with technology partners (DBAs, Infrastructure, Development Leads, Support teams), manage all release activities.
• Ensure minimum downtime of the platform for testers and key internal and external interfaces.
Key Competencies for the Test Environment and Release Manager Role:
• Very strong communication skills. Must be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• The ability to lead and guide people who are not direct reports.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities, partnering with the above stakeholders.
• Experience with managing projects, tasks, workflow and reporting in Jira.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio.
• Experience with full project lifecycle, including testing and defect coordination.
• The ability to deliver on these plans.
• Demonstrated conflict resolution ability.
Required Qualification for the Test Environment and Release Manager Role:
• Degree-educated; either in a financial discipline or else IT.
