itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Systems Administrator. This is a short-term contract (with the possibility for extension) based with our client in South Dublin.
Duties:
* Monitor and maintain IT Servers and Infrastructure environment daily
* Install and configure new and existing Infrastructure (Windows Server DC Core 2019)
* Provide general Level 3 Technical Support
* Configure, monitor and verify data backups using Backup Exec 2016 to a dual LTO5 Tape Libra
* Administrate Infrastructure, including; firewall (Palo Alto), databases, malware protection software and email filter (Barracuda)
* New data centre project support
* Troubleshoot Office 365
* PC OS image configuration and deployment
* WAN/ LAN operational support (Core Network is HP Commware Switches for 4 node core and 17 to 20 Distribution Switches. WAP's are Cisco with a Cisco management layer)
Server Environment:
* Virtual Servers are mostly VMware guests running on Server 2008/ 2008R2. VMware is the hypervisor in use and is running on three Dell R730 Servers
* Fibre Channel Storage on 8GB or 16GB Fibre SAN
* The servers are running on mixed Windows Server Operating Systems
* 3 Node Cluster Dual socket 18Core CPU (36 Cores total); 256GB RAM per Host
* Server 2003 Standard (2 off)
* Server 2008R2 Standard (6 off)
* Server 2008 Standard (7 off)
* Server 2008R2 Data Centre (4 off)
* Shared Storage on Dell SCv2020 Storage Array
