Performance Tester required for cutting edge software house in Cork that develops complex algorithmic trading solutions for global customers. The Performance Tester will work with the latest tech frameworks & methodologies and are building an incredibly strong culture that’s built on openness, transparency and giving people the responsibility to contribute on a team, company and group level.

Performance Tester Responsibilities

·         Develop performance and scalability test suites for a variety of applications and platforms

·         Coordinate test activities within the Architecture and Infrastructure Teams

·         Liaise with System and Software Architects to troubleshoot performance issues and identify/resolve root cause.

·         Production of test progress status and reports

·         Participate in the creation of the performance test strategy and take responsibility for its implementation

Required Skills

·         5+ years experience as a software developer/tester

·         Experience in performance testing of high transaction, low latency systems

·         Experience with a variety of performance testing types including load, stress, capacity and scalability testing

·         Working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX and Python (bespoke Automation tool developed in Python)

·         Application profiling and tuning experience

·         Understanding of various database technologies 

·         Experience of working within an Agile development framework – SCRUM

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
