FullStack Web Developer
itContracting are pleased to be partnering with our client, a multinational organisation with offices in South Dublin, in the hiring of a FullStack Web Developer with expertise in Java and Angular.
You will be working on the continual development, ongoing maintenance and future strategy and projects around an estate of websites that are accessed by millions of users globally, as well as an extensive suite of internal services and portals.
This role will be primarily project focused and you will work on standalone projects as well as large-scale complex company projects.
Experience:
* At least 5 years working in a commercial enterprise environment in a server-side Java development role, in particular with J2EE and using WebSphere Application Server or similar
* At least 3 years working in client-side development using MVC frameworks, e.g. JSF and/or Struts, with additional experience using JSP, HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, XML etc.
* You will have built responsive web applications with front-end technologies such as Angular. Ideally you will have had hands-on experience developing using Angular 6.
* Good knowledge of database communication and backend technologies with knowledge of Oracle an advantage
* Development experience in a Unix/Linux environment
* Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Integration Patterns
* Strong knowledge and experience of various associated development and testing tools such as: IDEs, Application Servers (ideally WebSphere), CI/CD tools e.g. Maven, Nexus, BitBucket and/or Bamboo, testing with SoapUI, LoadUI, JMeter and/or Selenium, Version Control with Subversion and Git and issue tracking software such as Jira
* Ideally degree educated in Computer Science or related discipline
