Business Intelligence Architect
The Role
My client is seeking a full time Business Intelligence Architect to define the architecture, strategic roadmap and programs of work that will successfully implement and manage Information and Business Intelligence solutions to meet business objectives and promote the effective management of data across the bank.

Responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Architect Role:
• Collaborates with technology providers, IT Architectures, developers and appropriate internal teams to collaboratively design and develop integrated solutions.
• Ensures designs and solutions are fit for purpose, approved, kept current, and are evangelized across the organization.
• Collaborates with business stakeholders and management team to define a suitable Business Intelligence strategy and roadmap for the Bank.
• Collaborates with Business and Project Managers to review progress and effectiveness of BI projects to ensure the management of delivery, adherence to solution blueprint and the identification/mitigation of risks or issues are highlighted and resolved.
• Collaborates with business & IT peers to establish standards & processes for the delivery of BI projects.
• Collaborates with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into BI architectural designs.
• Supports BAs to identify potential overlap in requirements, subject area’s and processes to efficiently identify “quick wins”, strategic versus tactical projects and decide an appropriate delivery approach.
• Supports Solution Architects in identifying the placement and usage of BI solutions within the overall Enterprise Architecture of the Bank.
• Collaborates on the design of data driven solutions in conjunction with Solution Architects.
• Collaborates with Solution Architects on architectural designs and changes ensuring solutions align with the Enterprise Architecture and approvals are agreed by the Design Board.
Required Skills and Knowledge for the Business Intelligence Architect Role:
• 5-8 years industry experience in Information/BI Architecture with proven end-to-end delivery experience of Enterprise Data Warehouse projects is required.
• Expert and proven experience of Business Intelligence Data Modelling concepts.
• Experience in a variety of BI development approaches and methodologies including Kimball, Inmon or Agile BI etc.
• Skilled and experienced in Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Governance best practice. processes and approaches with experience in communicating and educating.
• Experience of Data Quality and Governance strategies and processes.
• Development experience in the some or all the following technologies.
• Broad and deep understanding of Business Intelligence, statistics, machine learning and data mining.
• Experience of OLAP concepts (MOLAP,ROLAP, HOLAP) and cube construction.
