Business Intelligence Architect

Role:
Our client is a leading Financial Service Provider. They are currently looking for a BI Architect to fill a 6 month contract.

They require a full time Business Intelligence Architect to define the architecture, strategic roadmap and programs of work that will successfully implement and manage Information and Business Intelligence solutions to meet business objectives and promote the effective management of data across the bank.
The BI Architect works with Project Managers, IT architects, Data Science, BI delivery and Data Quality Management teams to translate technical requirements into a design blueprint that outlines solutions and ensures the structured and coordinated planning of Business Intelligence solutions to meet business needs.

Requirements:
 5 - 8 years industry experience in Information/BI Architecture with proven end-to-end delivery experience of Enterprise Data Warehouse projects is required.
 Experience in a variety of BI development approaches and methodologies including Kimball, Inmon or Agile BI etc.
 Skilled and experienced in Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Governance best practice processes and approaches with experience in communicating, educating and ensuring the adoption of these approaches across the data community.
 Experience of Data Quality and Governance strategies and processes.
 Broad and deep understanding of Business Intelligence, statistics, machine learning and data mining.
 Experience of data, master data and metadata related standards, processes and technologies
 Experience of OLAP concepts (MOLAP,ROLAP, HOLAP) and cube construction
 Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of Information/BI development projects in a technology driven environment
 Experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques and process improvement approaches
 Must be security conscious.
 Experience in coaching, mentoring and education members of the data domain to upskill and cross skill in various roles and technologies.
 Ability to take proactive steps in managing problems.
 Experience in personal development planning and individual, team and process performance management
 Excellent personal organisation and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks
 Comfortable working without routine supervision Ability to listen to team members and communicate instructions effectively.
 Relevant 3rd level qualifications, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have(s):
 Expert and proven experience of Business Intelligence Data Modelling concepts such as Star Schemas and Dimensional Modelling designs. Experience in implementing Teradata FSDM Model is preferable but not mandatory
 Development experience in the some or all of the following technologies preferable: Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop, Hive, Datastage, Informatica, IBM Infosphere Data Governance Suite, PowerBI.
