Data Warehouse Software Engineer - Dublin
My client, an exciting financial management company. They have been evolving their Data Warehouse over the past few years are looking for an individual who will help to determine its future state.
The data warehouse is key to the business when it comes to financial data produced throughout the firm. You will be an integral part of the team, responsible for helping to build and improve the Data Service, BI architecture, and Business Intelligence tools.
The current technology stack is Linux based, you will also make use of python and Tableau. There is also an upgrade plan in progress that will utilize AWS.
Principal Responsibilities
* Architect and develop the core of the Datawarehouse
* Develop and enhance data models to move the data landscape in a strategic direction in line with business requirements
* Work cross-functionally with various teams, creating solutions that deal with large volumes of data
* Work with other members of the team to ensure data is stored and managed properly to support firm needs
* Delivery orientated individual with team leadership experience.
Qualifications/Skills Required
* 7+ years of professional Database development experience
* 7+ years of professional Java development experience
* 3+ years of professional Data Modeling experience
* Big Data experience would be beneficial
* Experience in Python & Perl would be beneficial
* Experience in migrating or creating data warehouses in AWS
* Highly analytical with good problem solving skills and creativity
* Positive individual with strong communication skills
* Self-driven with the ability to work under pressure
* Experience with Tableau or other BI tools
* Understanding of financial services would be a huge benefit
